Nikki Martin

Tactical Wellness Outreach Coordinator

Nikki Martin is a tactical wellness educator and soon-to-be Functional Nutritionist whose work at Calm Seas Psychotherapy is rooted in both professional purpose and deeply personal connection. She serves as a key representative within the military and law enforcement communities, expanding Calm Seas’ outreach and delivering performance-based wellness education to the populations the practice is most committed to supporting.

Nikki’s understanding of military and law enforcement life is not academic — it is lived. Her father served, and her grandfather was a veteran of the Korean War. Service has always been woven into her family’s identity, and working alongside those who carry that same calling feels less like a career choice and more like a continuation of something she has always known.

Her approach to wellness is shaped by that same grounded, no-nonsense ethos. Tactical wellness, as Nikki practices and teaches it, is not about trends or surface-level self-care. It is about readiness, recovery, and longevity — fueling the body correctly, understanding performance physiology, regulating stress systems, and reinforcing the deep connection between physical health and mental resilience. She brings a practical, disciplined lens to health that aligns directly with the operational demands placed on service members and officers, both on and off the clock.

Nikki recognizes what so many in these professions quietly carry: shift work, hyper-vigilance, and operational stress are not lifestyle choices — they are occupational realities. Functional nutrition, as she applies it, addresses how cortisol disrupts mood and sleep, how blood sugar instability erodes focus, how chronic stress fuels inflammation, and how poor recovery quietly increases cardiovascular risk over time. Her goal is to give clients the tools to understand and work with their own biology — not against it.

At Calm Seas, Nikki offers individual consultations, structured wellness plans, and bundled package options for ongoing support. Her services are optional and entirely separate from psychotherapy care, designed to complement the clinical work already happening and to meet clients where they are physically, not just emotionally.
