This group utilizes an evidence-based psychoeducational model to intervene with perpetrators of domestic violence. Each 1 ½ hour session aims to challenge and redirect maladaptive behaviors and beliefs. The model encourages perpetrators to accept responsibility for abusive and violent behaviors, address patriarchal attitudes and move toward gender-egalitarian behaviors. Throughout the group sessions there would be a focus on challenging maladaptive cognitions and beliefs, developing emotional regulation strategies and communication skills.

Sharon Prager
Mens Domestic Violence Intervention Group
This program is grounded in the Duluth Model and built around the core principles of accountability, insight, and behavioral change. Designed specifically for individuals who have used violence or control in their relationships, the program helps participants take ownership of their actions, challenge harmful belief systems, and develop healthier ways to communicate and manage conflict.
We accept clients throughout New York State, with referrals from Probation, Parole, and other agencies, as well as confidential self-referrals for those who wish to seek help voluntarily.
Sharon Prager and her team bring extensive experience in trauma and addictions, ensuring that every participant is met with structure, honesty, and an opportunity for real change.
