Anand Bhopale

LMSW

Anand is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who brings a compassionate, person-centered approach to psychotherapy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a focus on International Relations, from SUNY Plattsburgh and his Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Adelphi University School of Social Work.

Throughout his career, Anand has worked in a variety of clinical settings, supporting individuals facing complex medical, emotional, and life challenges. He began his career in medical social work, where he worked with patients experiencing significant physical health concerns and the emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany serious or chronic health conditions. In this setting, Anand provided psychotherapy and supportive services to help individuals navigate the intersection of physical and mental health.

Anand takes a person-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that every individual brings a unique history, perspective, and set of needs to the therapeutic process. He works collaboratively with clients to develop treatment that is meaningful, practical, and responsive to their individual goals.

His therapeutic approach incorporates several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Anand believes that therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.

Anand is currently pursuing his Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential and remains committed to continued professional growth and providing thoughtful, compassionate care to the individuals, couples, veterans, and first responders he serves.
