LMSW

Taylor  graduated with a Masters of Social Work from The University at Buffalo. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Canisius College, in Buffalo New York. While there, she received her Bachelors, dual majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Taylor has had experience working with women and children facing home insecurity, primarily as a result of domestic violence, school age children in need of services pertaining to behavioral health, and individuals belonging to the forensics population. Taylor has always had a passion for mental health, but has taken particular interest in forensics and those involved within the criminal justice system. Taylor’s involvement in the Behavioral Health Workforce Employment Training Scholars Program, through the University at Buffalo, has provided practical training, as well as ways to collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible individualized care for the client. Taylor utilizes a trauma-informed approach, recognizing the need to serve individuals holistically, valuing the many aspects of one’s lived experience. When working with clients, she employs the use of Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Her mission when working with clients is to allow a space to vocalize struggles and concerns, while recognizing the beauty that life has to offer.

“For what it’s worth... it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.”
- F. Scott Fitzgerald
