Shameika, a MSW student at National University, completed a bachelor’s degree with a Minor in Sociology at Eastern Kentucky University. She possesses a profound understanding of trauma’s impact on individuals and communities. Working with first responders at a Children’s Advocacy Center, she offers valuable insights into their challenges and stresses the importance of addressing vicarious trauma.

Her dedication to strengths-based methods harmonizes with empowering clients to overcome obstacles and pursue their objectives. By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with strengths-based strategies, a holistic approach is provided to help clients enhance resilience and achieve positive results.

Emphasizing the creation of a supportive and non-judgmental environment, she adopts a client-centered approach crucial for building trust and fostering meaningful therapeutic progress.
