Elena O'Donnell
MHC Candidate
Elena is a CMHC candidate at St. Bonaventure University where she is pursuing her MSEd. Elena earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice law enforcement technology with a minor in legal studies from Farmingdale State College. She has experience working as a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate-Provisional (CRPA-P) at a chemical dependency outpatient center, along with 12-step experience serving individuals who struggle with various addictions.
Elena grew up in a family of military service members and first responders. These family members are the reason she is passionate about working with these populations. Elena feels that it is a privilege to work with individuals who selflessly risked and sacrificed so much for others. She wants to ensure that members of these populations and their family members are provided with the best care and resources available to them. She is eager to grow in her role at Calm Seas and is looking forward to walking side by side with clients during their therapeutic journey.
In Elena’s free time, she volunteers with the Warrior Ranch Foundation in Calverton, NY, which provides recreational equine therapy services to veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers. Elena works closely with both participants and horses providing support and care during the various clinics that are offered.
