Chelsea is a Mental Health Counselor (MHC) with a limited permit who brings a diverse range of experience working with children, adolescents, individuals impacted by trauma, and survivors of domestic violence. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2022 and completed her Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling at the University at Buffalo in 2025.
Chelsea began her clinical journey as an intern at Calm Seas Psychotherapy, where she quickly demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting clients through complex and challenging circumstances. Since then, she has continued to grow professionally, expanding her skills across a variety of clinical presentations.
Chelsea utilizes a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness techniques, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She places high value on building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships and creating a safe space for clients to process, reflect, and overcome barriers.
Her goal in therapy is to help individuals move toward becoming the best version of themselves. Chelsea believes in recognizing and celebrating all forms of progress – no matter how small – as meaningful steps toward lasting change.
