Rickera Walker is a dedicated mental health professional with a strong commitment to supporting first responders especially law enforcement officers and communities of color. A proud Philadelphia native and U.S. Army veteran, Rickera brings both professional expertise and personal experience to her work, offering a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those who serve.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland and earned her Master’s in Social Work from Liberty University. Her military background fuels her passion for working with service members, veterans, and law enforcement professionals, helping them navigate high-stress environments, trauma exposure, and the emotional demands of their roles.
Rickera also specializes in couples therapy, with a focus on supporting relationships impacted by the pressures of public service. She helps couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and reconnect in the face of life’s most demanding circumstances.
Her clinical work is rooted in cultural competence and trauma-informed care, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, infertility, and relationship distress. Rickera uses a range of evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, humanistic therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to support clients in achieving meaningful, lasting growth.
