Linda Giammona

LMSW

A Licensed Master Social Worker with specialized training and experience in trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, anger management and grief counseling for individuals, families and groups. Linda has enjoyed helping our community caretakers – veterans, firefighters, police officers, healthcare providers and caregivers of the aging in place population – find a sense of peace and happiness in themselves and their relationships. She has worked in collaboration with first responders and their families for over 15 years and understands the culture, responsibilities, politics and pressures of the job and the associated side effects on relationships, children, professional growth and emotional and physical health. She views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one, working with clients to gain an understanding of themselves and their challenges. With a tailored plan of compassion, she is committed to providing a safe place for clients to feel comfortable and ready to help themselves move towards their goals. Trained in EMDR, CBT, DBT, EFT, Reiki, Tapping, Mindfulness, Equine and Sound Therapy, her approach to treatment is eclectic; employing evidenced based techniques, healing therapies and genuine care for her clients. Perhaps most importantly, Linda has a way of making people feel positively positioned to affect change in their lives – with honest eyes, an open heart and a will to make it happen.
