Kilya India Walsh is a Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in individual and group treatments for Substance Use Disorders; certified by the State of New York as a Master Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has worked in the field of Corrections, Women’s Veterans, Mental Health and different modalities of addiction ranging from Detox, Inpatient and Outpatient Medication Addiction Treatment. She is committed to providing excellent care and comfort to individual lives by providing interventions, support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges by utilizing the Strengths Perspective, Socratic Solution- Focused Therapy and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one. She works together with the client to help them gain knowledge and understanding of problems they’re facing, developing a deeper understanding of themselves, and to work toward resolution of a specific issue.
