Kathleen Cammarata, LCSW, graduated from Stony Brook University in 1998 with a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Specialization Certificate in Substance Abuse. Ms. Cammarata’s past work history consists of addiction, domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault, and offender work. She is currently employed at Legal Aid Society of Suffolk where she supervises the social work department and offers social work intervention to clients who are engaged in the criminal justice system. Prior to working at Legal Aid Society, Ms. Cammarata worked at VIBS Family Violence and Rape Crisis Center for 17 years in various different capacities over the years. Trauma-focused therapy and survivor work was her main focus at VIBS in addition to domestic violence offender work.
