Jessica McGinn


Jessica McGinn is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of New York. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Adelphi University where she studied Social Work. Jessica has experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families, in diversified settings including the home, school, and community setting. Furthermore Jessica has worked with individuals who deal with physical, development, and intellectual disabilities, as well as with the mentally ill community.

Jessica has provided individual, family and group services for children, adolescents, and adults struggling with addiction issues and mental illness diagnoses, for example anxiety, depression, ADHD and ODD. She performs from a strengths based, individualized, person-centered, and therapeutic approach. Jessica utilizes techniques such as play therapy, Mindfulness Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Jessica finds worth in the interactions she has with each of her clients. She is enthusiastic about helping individuals become empowered and heal from their struggles in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Jessica with involvement from the client develops goals and a course of action depending on the specific needs and what the client wishes to strive for. In the course of Jessica’s education and personal experiences, she has been directed to achieve her goals of assisting others to live better lives and be able to overcome personal challenges.
