Jennifer Gyscek-Montes De Oca

MSW Candidate

Jennifer is an MSW candidate from Boston University School of Social Work.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Dowling College in psychology.  Jennifer is trained in person centered care, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and is SBIRT (Screening Referral to Treatment and Brief Intervention) certified.  Jennifer is a Team Coordinator at a non-profit agency whose mission is to reduce the stigma of mental illness.  She has worked with veterans and individuals that have and are experiencing substance use, physical and mental health issues, domestic violence, and homelessness. Jennifer aims to provide a safe space to facilitate healing and to assist individuals in empowering themselves to be all they can be. Jennifer is an ally to the LGBTQ community and individuals that are a part of marginalized and underserved communities.
